Personal HistoriesJoachim Esch Joachim Esch is chairman of the management board of Kolbenschmidt Pierburg's Pierburg GmbH division, which manufactures powertrain components. Esch has held the position since 2002 and is globally responsible for Pierburg's engineering and manufacturing activities. Prior to his current role, Esch was managing director of the KS Kolbenschmidt division responsible for the company's worldwide pistons operation. Before joining Kolbenschmidt Pierburg, Esch served as the head of engine design for Porsche AG, among various other positions. He holds a PhD in engineering from the Technical University in Aachen.
Udo Nenning Udo Nenning is a member of the management board of Kolbenschmidt Pierburg's Pierburg GmbH division. Appointed to the position in 2002, he is responsible for Pierburg's sales, marketing and purchasing activities around the world. Nenning served as vice president of sales and marketing for TRW before joining Kolbenschmidt Pierburg, where he was responsible for sales and marketing efforts in Europe, Asia and South America. Nenning holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Munich.
Andreas (Andy) Knackstedt Andy Knackstedt is president of Pierburg, Inc., a position he has held since he joined Kolbenschmidt Pierburg in 2001. As president, he is responsible for Pierburg operations in North and South America. Prior to joining the company, Knackstedt was vice president of sales and engineering for Robert Bosch Closure Systems in Germany with responsibility for sales, engineering, R&D and quality assurance. He holds a PhD in engineering from the Technical University of Aachen in Germany.
Peter (Pete) Hradowy Pete Hradowy was appointed vice president of sales and engineering in 2002. He is responsible for the company's sales and engineering activities in North America. Prior to joining Pierburg, he was director of sales and marketing at MANN+HUMMEL. Hradowy attended the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.

Frank Pohlmann Frank Pohlmann has served as president of Karl Schmidt Unisia for six years. He is responsible for Karl Schmidt Unisia's operations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Prior to his current position, he was vice president of operations for the company. Pohlmann has worked for Kolbenschmidt Pierburg for 14 years. He holds a bachelor of engineering degree from the University of Hannover.
David Mosier Dave Mosier brings with him more than a dozen years on the financial side, serving in key executive positions in the financial, electronics and consumer electronics business in North America and Europe. He has a degree in accounting from North Carolina State University and is a certified public accountant.
Don Cameron Don Cameron has served as vice president of sales and marketing for Karl Schmidt Unisia since 2002. Cameron has worked for the company since 1995 and served as director of sales and marketing prior to his current assignment. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and a masters of business administration from Michigan State University.
